LILAC ERP Accounting software maintains spare parts, inventory, and stock control facilities, with the ability to handle large numbers of part numbers, using highly efficient storage, searching, and retrieval functions.

The LILAC Inventory module implements a very fast Inventory & Stock Control system which is capable of handling databases containing hundreds of thousands or millions of spare parts with flexible sorting and searching functions which allow the operator to retrieve the correct part by many different criteria.

The LILAC Inventory system is fully integrated with the LILAC accounting database, and maintains a separate ledger account for each individual part number. This allows a open ended history of transactions to be maintained with full details of every purchase or acquisition, and sale or consumption for as long as desired. In practise many LILAC users maintain five or more years of full history of parts movement.

Lennox Computers QCAD facility is available as an integrated tool within the LILAC Inventory system. This allows the recording of bitmap images, CAD schematics or combinations of these on the LILAC Stock Account document. These graphics are then available for presentation on documents such as quotes, orders, invoices, and for eCommerce applications via Lennox Computers Active Server dynamic web-content generator.
An important attribute of any large scale spare parts system is the ability to record and retrieve records by a variety of different alternate part numbers. LILAC provides the ability to define any number of alternate codes, which may be used for purchase, sale, enquiry and reporting functions in addition to a primary code which identifies the part for accounting purposes.

Barcode - Printing, Scanning and Decoding
In many applications, for example radiator fitting, engine and machinery overhaul, option and accessory fitment, the provision of a comprehensive Bill of Materials facility allows the effective management of components and sub-assemblies.

LILAC's Bill of Materials facility is a standard feature of the Inventory and Stock control module. It permits a parent code to be associated with an open ended set of components.

Bill of Materials "explosions" in and out of stock may be automated for a variety of processing events, including work order, invoicing, and production issue.
The LILAC Spare Parts System provides extensive support for barcode operations using barcoding generated by the software and/or by scanning barcodes applied to product by the manufacturer or supplier.

Many different formats of barcodes are supported, and many different styles and sizes of labels may be created to suit the physical characteristics of any product, large or small. The "preferred" barcode standard is of course the EAN system, and generally new systems will create labeling to the EAN standard. However LILAC will happily cope with many older and ad hoc barcode labelling systems.
